What counts as other physician time
Quick work that takes less than 10 minutes of the doctor's time is free, such as signing a form or answering a brief email or call.
Longer work is billed at $100 per 15 minutes, rounded up to the next 15 minutes. Examples include extensive email or phone communication, detailed forms or letters, and review of genetic testing.
Insurance and superbills
We do not accept any insurance, including Medicaid. On request we provide superbills you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Legal and court-related work is billed at $5,000 per day or any portion of a day, plus $500 per hour. Dr. Heck typically declines these requests.
